Mission

Saint Emilie also had a great desire to spread the love of God and the good news of Christ to everyone. She urged her sisters:

“Let us do all in our powers to make Jesus known and loved.”

As sisters of the Holy Family we still feel inspired by these words. In our communities throughout the world we strive together to reveal the tenderness of God’s love to one another in community and to all the people we encounter in our mission.

We are involved in:

  • evangelisation,

  • catechetics,

  • the education of children,

  • young people and adults,

  • nursing and care of the elderly,

  • social work,

  • counselling and spiritual direction,

  • chaplaincy work in prisons, hospitals and schools,

  • parish ministry,

  • and projects for the advancement of women.

We work in many situations but in our choice of mission preference is always given to the poor and underprivileged.

Our spirituality is marked by compassion, “a boundless confidence in God and above all great charity.” These values should shine out in our lives as deeply as they shone in the life of our foundress.

Our motto is:
“Above all things – LOVE.”

Perhaps you feel inspired to know more about Saint Emilie and her way of following in the footsteps of Jesus of Nazareth either as a religious or as a lay person. If so pray about it and then contact us.
